Steel Dust: Greased Lightning

Steel Dust: Greased Lightning, originally uploaded by LarimdaME.

The snowpack in Brooklyn is slightly higher then the third rail. So, subsequently, there's a thin layer of snow wrapped around some of the third rails. And, as we all learned, water and electricity don't always get along so well.

All day long the trains have been sparking. Some in more places then others. This little stretch between Bay Parkway and Kings Highway on the N line is especially sparky. Like end of the world sparky.
